It’s very popular character from genre of heroic fantasy, this powerful warrior was created by Robert E. Howard who write for a newspaper Weird Tales around 1930 and later. Robert died after releasing first book, The hour of Dragon, book where Conan appear for the first time. Conan was very popular, after that many writers wrote about Conan and now we’ve got around 70 book with Conan. All of them was realistic, often creepy and brutal, but still very enjoyable for everyone who has interest in fantasy. Howard created something much more than just a book – just like Tolkien, he created whole fantasy world. Tolkien created maybe much more complex, deeper world with mythology and he even created languages; Conan is still attractive, for everyone who is looking for more action, adventure and blood! It’s much more than just books or something!

Anyway, I’m excited to play in Age of Conan beta, test and now I’m owner of, original Age of Conan game. Game really rocks! Combat system, is surprisingly outstanding. What is, really fantastic I’m very excited to, informs that expansion for Lord of the Rings Online: Shadow of Angmar will be, soon available for us and what’s new? Later was Pegasus, platform for games – you know, cartridge toy with 2 pads.

Baldurs Gate, Diablo or fresh World of Warcraft ( ahh thank, you god for that game lol ) the best, game in the world. Sometimes peoples are very, annoying that’s why I like to play alone and sometimes with others. It’s my type of play. I just like to travel walk alone etc. I’m a loner or something, like that. I’m very unhappy because I don’t, have much time to play anymore. What can, I say? I’m mostly interested, in Age of Conan tricks – it has pleasant graphic music and, creepy very creepy game experience; I was, scared after I finished this game… Haha as, a gamer I’m kinda weird person, I like to play in games, but I don’t like to play to much with, other players. I know this, is weird when you are playing, in online games but I like, to relax! I don’t like, to run from place A to place B, with bunch of players.

More Age of Conan news! You are familiar with fact that game is not anymore “Hyborian Adventures” and became “Unchained”? Game has changed a lot since it’s premiere, but it’s key points, like boosting adrenaline exciting atmosphere, marvelous music and stunning graphics remained the same.

When you finish making your character and get into universe of King Conan, you are slave on some dirty gallery, just everyone else who you will meet during your adventures in Hyboria. Some bad stuff happens and ship is turned to pieces leaving you and rest of crew drowning in the deepest depths of the ocean. But you are lucky enough to reach alive Tortage island’s beach. On the other hand, you are waking without remembering anything. It’s quite interesting role playing part of game, because during about first 15 to 25 hours while playing in AoC, you are completing various jobs that gradually help you finding more about your past, and then after gaining more levels of experience, you return to your land and begin last process of reminding your previous life.

While speaking about tasks, they are reminding a lot the ones in MMORP titles, where you need to visit and revisit four locations until you are mighty enough to face the current zone’s mightiest monster, who is located on the single-player side of the game, so you’ll have to battle with him without any help from your friends (what makes task pretty easier, mobs are not respawning respawn on the night side). You’ll have to just kill various animals and mobs along with collecting a needed amount of items.

As I said earlier, one of the best features of Age of Conan is fighting system. It lets you take an active role while battling. There is no pressing auto-attack button – in order to win the every fight, you have to thrust, chop, and swing with equipped axe, club or anything else (a stick maybe…). The combat system also gives you opportunity to control your defense rather than depending only on your current level, adjusting your defenses as your enemies strike, lending an element of your skill to all possible encounters. Fighting stance signs showing the direction your enemy is weak, so you need to give more damage by striking his weak points. Additionally, proper using of available combos rewards you with possibility of dealing just tremendous damage.

But let’s talk about AoC being F2P. First of all, there’s now a plenty of more content on offer than originally shipped with the title, and most of it is open to every game. All of the regions from the known title are free to enjoy, you can do many interesting tasks and it’s not impossible to level all the way to the existing level cap which is 80. Of course before even downloading and creating your account, you have to keep in mind that Age of Conan: Unchained is not like rest of F2P MMO, so don’t expect that you will have access to everything in-game. All free gamers may just ride the horses which needs the Basic Riding ability by default.

All-in-all if you have never launched Age of Conan before, this is maybe best time to try it out and see for yourself. The surroundings look marvelous (engine really rock!) with the unique water effect in DX10. That fact that the game is so action heavy and still a bit different to larger part of existing MMO’s still makes it a little bit unique, and combat is still great to play, quickly-paced and challenging, whether you’re playing as a melee fighter or some deadly mage.

When starting talking about summer, you think about reborn. And also sports. That’s why I would like switch the topic and write one of my greatest passions, which is cycling. When you are thinking about some sport for yourself, it’s much better to know, that is one of the most enjoyable recreational activities which humanity created ever. It does not give you some tough exercises but also grants you with ability to do sightseeing while riding on the tracks. Especially mountain cycling is known for its fantastic sights and systematic tracks. When you first start cycling, I bet you read about the speeds and distances travelled by other cyclists and discover that you fall a long way short. Extreme number of experienced bike lovers is able to do 60 miles at 20-25 miles per hour a couple of times a week, enthusiasts even more and faster.

It’s not a bad idea to also get knowledge from guides available on the internet – after all, I am writing about different type of stuff. Hello dear friends, today something unusual. I will tell you about fantastic card-board game called Warhammer Invasion. It’s a type Living Card Game, so it’s awesome mix of cards and board games. I purchased this game approximately year ago and I have to admit, that I enjoy it greatly.

Well, game is as I see it just magnificent and really worth of money. It’s able to give you more enjoyment than numerous of current computer/consoles games. Is never get boring, unless you are enjoying with online games strategy friend too much in it. And even if you will get bored, you can check out playing other faction. It’s marvelous idea to play from to time as someone other from one perfect reason – you will try thinking as your opponent and will get more familiar with his cards. Although you can get it also by gaming really a lot with the same enemy and against same race.

In the center of the map is marked your Capital. It’s massive fortress represented by your board, where is weighing destiny of your army and buildings. Is divided into three areas. Battlefield, Quest and Kingdom. Kingdom area is informing about the owned strategy games free download resources in your vault. Overall power of your Quest zone is speaking about number of drawn cards in every round. You have to keep in mind, that number of cards in your deck is limited and if you won’t have any cards, you lost. From the Battlefield you are able to attack your opponent.

Dwarfs are artisans of smith, thanks to it they are able to survive damage, which are lethal for any other creature. Welcome on my blog! Today fresh news from exciting world of Hyboria! Yes, we are very close to first, new and super expansion for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures! You are still playing in AoC? Great! Anyway launch date of the prequel expansion, “Rise of the Godslayer,” has been confirmed as May 11th 2010. Game will be available as a retail package as well as a download, but you may want to consider grabbing the boxed copy: it comes with a pet and a “package of virtual items.

The expansion, according to Funcom’s latest press release, will let “players travel to a unique part of Conan’s world where an ancient traditional culture clashes with dark forces.” I’m not exactly sure what that means, but we’re guessing you won’t be whisked away to the Conan-equivalent of a Cold Stone Creamery.

Rise of the Godslayer expansion is set in the eastern empire of Khitai, builds on an already extensive Conan universe and will let us travel to a unique part of Conan’s world where an ancient traditional culture clashes with evil forces. Anyway what is weird, there are no new classes, and no more levels, but there is an alternate advancement system that will broaden the range of each existing class as well as increase its power. Weird isn’t it?

Welcome! Today I would like to present, few interesting tips for beginners. If you are looking for tips related to Age of Conan, check out this post! You should remember that there is no auto attack. Attacking is done by pressing keys 1-3, as long as you are using the default bindings.

Fatalities are done by killing someone with a combo. There is a small chance to do one, but people seem to get more with critical hits. When you’ve got bigger level then your enemy, let’s say 4-5 higher level, your chance for critical is getting higher. You must attack enemy with special attack to increase chance for fatality.

You climb by sheathing your weapon (the \ key, not the ~ key), standing next to a climbing point, and pushing the U key. You can also do it just by clicking with your left mouse button.

Press H to hide. Hiding (stealth) gets better the more points you invest in the skill. Attempting to hide next to a light source does not work well. This skills is very good in Player vs Player combat. Especially if you are Assassin or Barbarian or any other class with thick armor.

In game world appears to be very instanced. If you’re grouped with someone and they aren’t standing next to you, use /instanceselection, and both of you need to choose the same instance to go to. It’s kinda silly, but well…

You can get your coordinates by hitting the F9 key, then looking under the ‘System’ chat window.

You can use /cc addbuddy name to add people to your friend’s list.

If you want you can set a quest as your current quest by double clicking the quest objective on the map. It’s really helpful during the game. You cannot play with other players in Night Mode. This mode is only active at single player type of adventure. Playing in multiplayer online role playing game alone? No thx!

With “J” you can bring up your quest log. You can set a quest as active through it by simply selecting the quest from the list on the left tab.

You access the skills tab by pushing P. Click the + and – keys in the top right pane to invest in skills. You get more as you level up.

Emotes are done by typing /emote and hitting Tab to bring up a list. If you know the full name of the emote, you can also just type it in manually. Most of emotes are bad, or broken, but they should fix them..

Welcome. In Age of Conan there are 12 classes, basically, there are four “Archetypes”: Priest, Soldier, Mage and Rogue and each archetype contains 3 classes.

Priest Archetype

Priest archetypes are healer classes. Healers are supporting allies and this is their main job. Of course they can also raise dead party members and support with all kind of buffs.

Priest of Mitra – They can aid as healers and even bring the dead to life.

Tempest of Set – These followers of Set are renowned for the obliteration and ruin that follows in their wake, but like other priests, they have the power to heal.

Bear Shaman – Basically they support allies with their strength or adrenaline surges and use powerful spirit totems that heal and counter-attack enemy blows. They are vulnerable to all kind of attacks, but they are really helpful in the party. Age of Conan gold farming is always better when someone like Bear Shaman cover your back.

Soldier Archetype

All soldier class are designed as tank classes. They are created to take all attacks on themselves, they protect other guys in your party and supports other classes by special skills.

Dark Templar – DT combine heavy armor and blood-thirsty magic with an all consuming desire for triumph. He can drain life from his foes.

Guardian – Guardians are the most heavily armored in Hyboria. Guardian is total “tank”, his attacks are really weak, but his armor is fantastic. Only this class can use full plate armor. It’s really hard to scratch Guardian, but in the other hand Guardians have very low damage capabilities.

Conqueror – Conquerors are a heavy sword wielding fusion of heavy armor and battlefield command, individuals rising from the ranks of Aquilonian generals and barbarous Cimmerian. They are good to take all hits and they are also good in offense.

Mage Archetype

They are designed as dps classes.

Herald of Xotli – Basically they are hybrids of the mage and soldier archetypes who wield alien spells and two handed weapons, making them a potent enemy on the battlefield. They are very offensive, with assassins, they’ve got most powerful melee attacks.

Necromancer – Necromancer summon and command the undead. Their ghoulish minions are capable of tearing enemies apart or casting their own death magic. It’s good to be Necromancer.

Demonologist – The mightiest of sorcerers, wielding the power of hell and earth and capable of conjuring pillars of flame or titanic storms of electricity. Probably most offensive ranged class. Great to farm monsters and enemies.

Rogue Archetype

They are designed to deal massive amount of damage, but in the other hand they are really vulnerable to any kinds of attacks.

Barbarian - Barbarian combat style focuses on strength, aggression, and relentless assault. They are more balanced then Assassins and deal less damage, but in other hand they are better armored.

Ranger – Rangers are the finest marksmen in Hyboria, capable of stalking an enemy and delivering devastating shots with pinpoint accuracy.

Assassin – They are possessing powerful combos, the ability to dual-wield and slip past enemies unseen. Assassins are most dangerous DPS in Age of Conan, they have really powerful attacks, but in other hand they are very vulnerable.

Thieves in the United Kingdom (you probably know this country in Europe, where people are talking English ) city of Bradford stole around 4,000 retail copies of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures from the back of a truck late at night on Wednesday the 28th of October. Telegraph & Argus, original source of this interesting news, claims that thefts stole XBOX 360 version of Age of Conan but this it’s must be an error. Anyway why this fail? Large and epic fail?! Brave Police forces are trying to track down the thieves, but this should be kinda easy, police should just wait when thieves register with a credit card number and other personal information… Well i presume that they aren’t realized that when they stole boxes with our beloved AoC….

I hope there will be some kinda information about this case in the future. Even they sell few boxes of this game, police find player who have stolen copy, ask him where he bought it or something and case will be closed…

Welcome! Today I would like to present few things about latest Patch 1.5 for Age of Conan. Patch went live and development guys want to thank all of the players involved in testing. Now 1.05 is already Live, and many players are confused by the changes. Game Director also talks about the important content and mechanics changes that patch brought.

Tarantia Commons development isn’t over, as a fresh dungeon will be added before the next huge update – dungeon will be located in the Iron Tower and present group instances mostly. After that, House of Crom is apparently the next huge instance coming to Live. What is that House of Crom? Well, It’s an epic high level dungeon of with new enemies, fantastic items and game experience. Game Director also mentions the Expansion Pack, so all Age of Conan hardcores should be excited about this.

Patch is focused on 3 classes and first one is…

- Demonologist. Well, after 1.5, the overall changes to game-play, mechanics and stats do not reflect much on the demonologist, but we still must do changes to equipment and tactics while playing. Anyway that’s cool that Mr. D, have still amazing AoE magical attacks, so you can farm enemies without problems. This class is one of my most favorite class. I just love to play as Demonologist! He is tottally awesome with this powerful AoE or single damage spells!

- Probably the most changes are related to Nercomancer class, but there is so MUCH changes that I read only part of them. Most important thing is that “Pets in 1.5 deliver much greater damage than before, specifically due to sharing their parameters with Necromancer.” Now Pets will be deadly so watch out if you are getting closer to Necromancer in PvP!

- Guardian is third class with some changes, Guardian in 1.5 Patch its not less powerful then before, contrary to what many players may say even crafted, non-raid armor or shield can provide a very nice tanking experience and enough survivability to do solo play.
